Carbon dioxide is essential for photosynthesis during all phases of plant growth, but is particularly required during fruiting and flowering. Although extremely powerful, CO2 inputs such as the MotherNature CO2 generator have a natural life of about 6 months.It is important to be aware of any degradation in the CO2 supply and to control or replenish it if necessary. With its simple and intuitive controls, the CO2 detector allows you to do exactly that.

The CO2 detector also helps you to improve the cost efficiency and maximise the lifetime of your CO2 inputs. Since CO2 levels above 1100 ppm have no additional effect on plant growth, you can only waste your inputs and watch them degrade at an accelerated rate by blindly increasing concentrations. Thanks to the CO2 detector's readings, you can adjust your inputs to the 'optimum point' of 1100 ppm.

Because prolonged exposure to high CO2 levels can be harmful to human health, the CO2 detector includes colour-coded alarms to notify you of dangerous concentrations. Extra functionality comes in the form of temperature and humidity monitoring. The unit has an effective range of 400-5000 ppm, is lightweight and easy to position, and recharges via the included USB cable.

For best results, the CO2 detector should be positioned above the CO2 injection point and below the ventilation inlets/outlets at approximately plant level.
